i played my first game of chess at age 7. my oldest brother bought me a chess set for christmas. he kicked my butt and never showed me the fundamentals of the game. I took to the game beating my friends in the neighborhood so bad until nobody would play me anymore. we moved and the results were the same in this new neighborhood. then one day in the school library the world of chess opened up to me. i grabbed a book on the basics and it was written in descriptive notation and i began to teach myself. so i grew tired of winning every game and began my search for someone who would beat me. i joined the uscf and was happy to get whipped.and to this day my oldest brother won't give me a rematch. i am a truck driver and the father of 2 beautiful girls ages 11yrs & 1 month
