An average pawn pusher. Otb Chessa Rating 1517. "The other night the computer beat me at chess, however, it was no match at kickboxing."
I am also a chess trainer at a local primary school teaching the 7-10 year olds. These kids are fun although it took some time to learn them to mate the king instead of taking it (and I am not sure what to expect after the holidays). I learn them tactics at first however they invent their own moves sometimes.
Then we have also started a (senior) chess club in the Vaal Triangle (Sedibeng) area. If you are from the area and interested to join please let me know.
I learned the chess moves when about 5 yrs old but used the chess pieces then mostly to battle against my LEGO knights in over-the-carpet-fights. Start playing at school when I was 14 until 18 (played for Free State A then). Took up chess again now at 30. Rusty, very rusty, but slowly progressing....
I saw this one on another member's profile: "Chess is like art.... sometimes a masterpiece... but most of the time just worthless crap." I feel like this sometimes when I play bad in an otb tournament...
