About Me:
Been teaching since 1990. A BS and MS Math graduate. Married to the mother of my two daughters. Currently enrolled in a PhD program and a graduated in a two-year program under the Every Nation Leadership Institute..... been playing since 1988. never made it big in chess. though i'm a member of our college faculty team and recently played in small municipality tourney in board 3 (1-1 WL record) which placed third in 14 teams. My highest achievement was afourth place finish in the towns individual championship in 1998(3.5/5--drawing with an NM, winning over the champ of the said event). Now playing also in chessmaniac.com. 1st tourney:Hello From Athens-- 6th of 12...Placed 9th of 44 in the 1st Dream team (going for the Gold)tourney...placed 4th of 5 in group 5 of the 5th chess.com (1401-1600) tourney...last place in group 62 of 4th chess.com tourney (1601-1800)..last place in group 72 of 1st chess.com thematic tourney(ruy Lopez)...placed 3rd of 5 players in group 20 of 3rd chess.com (1601-1800) tourney.. 4th of 5 players in group 59 of 2nd chess.com(1601-1800) tourney...currently ranked 2nd in group 81 of 6th chess.com tourney for 1601-1800... Finished 218th of 320 players in 1st chess.com quick KO... won my 1st round in a knockout tourney by firestare...advanced in the 2nd round of the dark knight opens(group 9) scoring 5 of 6 pts)...Advances to the 2nd round by topping group 22 in 2nd chess.com thematic(sicilian) tourney...Advances in the second round of the halloween tournament...Finished 5th of 6 in my group in the 1st Diamond Tournament... Finished 3rd of 6 players in group 14 of 2nd Chess.Com Thematic(sicilian) tourney... finished fourth in group 104 of 8th Chess.com tourney... finished third of 4 in group 1 of 2nd round of Halloween tourney...
