About Me:
I just graduated college and am beginning my first job as a full time high school teacher. I used to be a stronger player than I am currently (or either Chessmaster 5000 at it's higher levels was weak), but just a few years of not playing often has altered the way I look at chess. I rarely trade queens and I have become selfish with pieces, playing defensive to my own detriment. Perhaps through online play I can change? Only you can decide.
I have also recently become interested in scholastic chess, reading Nimzowitsch's My System and learning strategy, tactics (props to chess.com's Tactics Trainer!), and positional play.
If you love chess or have been playing for a long time, I'd love if you can suggest a few books on chess strategy to me. I am always looking to improve.
