IN LOVING MEMORY -
Zachary Anthony, born in Alameda California 5-30-1983, the oldest of three children. Zach was vivacious as a child growing up and his zest for life carried into his adult life. Zach was the kind of person that was successful at most everything he tried. He had a simple philosophy....."Live The Dream". Zach had a magnetic personality and was very popular and well loved by those that knew him. He was kind hearted, generous and very encouraging to the people that touched his life.
Zach was an avid golfer, skate boarder, archer and chess player! I (dnornii) his mom, taught him to play the game when he was about 6 years old. He loved the game immediately and we played many, many games together as he was growing up. At the age of 10, he beat me over the board......and no, I didn't let him win. Zach had a quick, mathematical mind and did very well playing. In his adult years he spent time playing online and at one point nearly reached a 2000 rating.
As he got older our games were mostly limited to time we spent together on holidays, unless we happened to be online at the same time. I always looked forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas, because I knew I would be playing my son and reliving the fun, memorable times of childhood. It was always a good time and in those moments we were both "Livin' The Dream".
On August 16, 2010, while on business out of state........Zach, his co-worker and 2 other friends went to a local and popular recreation area on a nearby river. While near the tall bridge over the river, Zach lost his footing and fell about 30 feet down to the rocks that lined the river, he lost his life.
Life will never be the same without Zach here. The world is a little colder, has less color and seems far more empty. His death has left a huge painful void and all those that were close to him are the lesser for it. I know if Zach were still here, he would encourage all those that loved him to keep "Livin' The Dream"
