I learned to play chess when I was eight or nine, but have not started seriously until a year ago. I've just started playing OTB tournaments and am starting to take weekly lessons as well as going to a couple clubs. My favorite openings are Ruy Lopez and Smith-Morra Gambit for white and Kings Indian Defense and Sicilian for black.
