About Me:
I am a chess journalist, and samples of my work can be found here and here. I am not a grandmaster, nor am I even close to being one. But I have taught the principles of chess to youths in Milwaukee, Philadelphia and D.C. I am the originator of two deadly chess strategies (one for Black and one for White) that continue to claim more and more victims by the day. My favorite chess book is The Immortal Game: A History of Chess, or How 32 Carved Pieces on a Board Illuminated Our Understanding of War, Art, Science and the Human Brain. The thing I like most about chess is that it brings people together who might not otherwise meet. Unfortunately, people fail to respect their opponents for who they are and what they bring to the game, not just the game of chess but the game of life, so to speak.
