About Me:
I am a bit of a work-a-holic, spending most of my time working on this site. I do a bit of consulting on the side, but mainly my time and passion is chess.com. I also enjoy counter-strike from time to time, and am a huge San Jose Sharks fan (yes, that is hockey). And spelunking is something I always enjoy as well, but as I get older and now that I have a family, I don't enjoy the risky stuff as much as I used to.

My Chess Style / Favorite Openings:
I wish I had more time to actually PLAY chess. I'm so busy building Chess.com that I don't have enough time to study the King's Gambit (world's greatest opening) or the Lowenthal. I didn't get into chess until I was 15 or 16, wish it woulda been sooner. I did ok in high school tournaments, and had an amazing win against a 2100 rated player when I was only 1400. In college I was President of the BYU Chess club and took 1st place in their innermural competition. That's where I met Erik, and also taught him a bit about Chess, and we both seem to have dedicated our lives to it ever since.
