Hello! My name is Joe, and I am 40 years old. I'm creeping back into chess after a long absence. I became obsessed with it around 1995. I played a bunch with friends, both regular and "blitz". I also played three tourneys--two OTB and one CC. OTB record was less than stellar: 1-6-1. Anyway, I got "burned out" on chess, became busy with work, and left it behind. I'm not looking to get back into it as seriously as I once was, I just want to keep one slow-paced game going. Honestly, I think I'd be really into playing through the mail again. There was just something exciting about getting those silly little cards in the mailbox. I'm not saying what my favorite openings are, because then you'll just play some other s!@# against me. ;-)
