About Me:
I learned to play chess early in 1981 at the relatively mature age of 35. Since then I've been playing mainly postal chess but last year decided to give chess.com a try. Now I'm hooked but it has to said that the quality of chess here is quite awful. My favourite opening has to be the Pirc, especially the Austrian Attack. Apart from chess i enjoy surfing the net, collecting stamps, listening to doo wop, steam railways, left-wing politics, and making friends all over the world.
