Occupation: Professor

About Me:
I am professor of mathematics, graduated from Moscow State University in 1993. Today I live in the USA.

My Chess Style / Favorite Openings:
I learned to play chess when I was four, from my father who was category one player in Russia (corresponds to approximately 2000 FIDE). I also become a category one player at 15, but than switched to study mathematics. I played correspondence chess on internet from the very beginning of internet correspondence chess and even made it to semifinals of Internet Correspondence Chess Cup, but then did not play, because it was too time consuming. I am delighted by online interface on chess.com, it is much more convenient then e-mail correspondence games I was playing before.
