Hi, I think it is time to update my profile.
My name is klas but my friends call me Klasse. Klas is Swedish short form for Nikolaus. I live with my family in the Midsouth of Sweden Götaland, land of the Goths. We have two boys born 2005 and 2011. I studied History and Geography at the University in the 90 s and have taught now and then since that time. I also worked with environmental issues at local and regional level for a period. Now I am currently studying again, part time Archaeology and I think that is very interesting. My favorite periods/subjects are the Aegean Bronze Age, the Scandinavian late Iron age-early Medieval times, the Age of Reason and forward to our own time (with a research focus on Swedish 19 th century early 20 th). I am also interested in land use conflicts, the pysical landscape and the climate.
The winter 2010 was one of the coldest for ages (see pictures in my albums) but the Summer(and also Summer 2011) was very hot with teperatures up to 34-35 degrees Celcius (After Anders Celcius a Swedish astronomer e.tc.) in the shade,and that is hot for Sweden. As I like being out in the nature I have a lot of albums with picture of birds, flowers and landscapes. Hope you enjoy them.
I also like sport and as a boy I played Fotboll (real football :-) , Bandy and floorball. I also played chess in a club for a shorter period and I have now taken up that again and play online. I read a lot of books (my favorite athours are probably Eyvind Johnson and Eric Blair) and listening to (different) music like (old) Marillion, Spyro Gyra, Neil Young, AC/DC, and Jan Johansson.
