About Me:

I am very much a classic ARIES. Thinker, serious, realistic, leader, funny, unusual, enterprising. Cool man with a devastating capacity of reaction when patience run over! Spiritual evolutionist and Intellectually inclined. Love nature, music and books. Creative and executor. Very proactive but procrastinator. Admirer of femininity and the role of women in human civilization. I have no time for materialism but I am very grateful for comfort. Got a some weaknesses & sins but generally speaking I am an easy going benevolant person & saint. I have had only a wife and with her our two adult children who gave us two lovely daughters-in-law plus three grandchildren.
Chess conveys a very powerful message to my inner person and my collective evolution while it provides me great entertainment in my current early retirement.
My chess afections started at a very early age while watching my mother's younger brother playing with his friends. But the issue was that my father thought the worst about my uncle and his pals, hence, chess was also a questionable activity for guys with nothing to do! I rediscovered chees at school and compite with older boys spending alot of time at the cost of my school homework and, that was bad as well. Finally, I became founding member of my town's first chess club and in the first organized tourney I met a town newcomer, a guy who played simultaneous chess blindfolded. We became very good friends 'till this day. I was never able to win a single game against him! (...'till this day). So, I gave up the game!
At the begining of this year, I visited my town and my illustreous friend and I met again. I went to see him playing at the new local chess club in town and he was as brilliant as ever. He asked me to play a chess game BUT I refused to even dare to challange anyone at the club; so, my friend decided to invite me to see him playing in his computer against people all over the world in an anonymous sort of manner. And this was how I found CHESS.COM and joined its community since Nov. 2008.
It has been a fascinating experience so far, and I have already made a few delightful friendships that I look forward to see coming alive in my PC screen each day. Only that again, this chess thing is becoming quite addictive AND THAT'S TOO BAD SAYS MY WIFE!
Did I say that I like music as well? Let me share with you one of my favorite songs sang by the Cuban songwriter PABLO MILANES. He interpretes a poem by Nicolas Guillen -Cuban National Poet- "DE QUE CALLADA MANERA..." ("HOW SUBTLELY... YOU COME INTO MY INNER BEING: SMILING WHILE I'M DYING...") Let me share its lyrics and music with you after suffering reading this discourse thus far:
De qué callada manera
se me adentra usted sonriendo
como si fuera la primavera,
yo muriendo.
Y de qué modo sutil
me derramó en la camisa
todas las flores de abril.
¿Quién le dijo que yo era
risa siempre, nunca llanto?
Como si fuera la primavera,
¡no soy tanto!
En cambio, qué espiritual
que usted me brinde una rosa
de su rosal principal.
De qué callada manera
se me adentra usted sonriendo
como si fuera la primavera,
yo muriendo,
yo muriendo.
And if you wish to watch another of my favorite clips I recommend to search for
RUBEN BLADES, "CAMINANDO"
