About Me:
I became a keen player in my late twenties, but had to give it up, for a great many years, for family reasons. I have begun to play again recently and I want to enjoy my game and make friends whilst doing so. Nimzowitch is my main influence, but I also love the games of the old masters; Morphy, Andersson, Spielmann, Alekhine, Petrosian, Fischer, etc. I love to play chess and have a banter with like minded players who share my somewhat Pythonesque sense of humour. I believe that chess is about solving problems not just on the board but real life problems. If there were more chess players in governments, we would all be mates.
