About Me:

Chess-wise, I generally play for the University of Bristol teams, sometimes at local tournaments and I'll make an occasional appearance for the Bristol 4NCL teams.

On here I play a good number of games and I like to chat, so that makes me less likely to claim a win on time!  (Although I only add people I know in real life as friends, sorry.)  Also, I sometimes play on my phone so I might miss something you've said but don't worry, I'll catch up.

Lastly, please check out http://www.bris.ac.uk/Depts/Union/Chess/ to justify the literal minutes of effort that went into its creation, but only if you're handsome, witty and erudite.

You know, it's really up to you.

Everyone knows the Dragon. The double-edged theoretical minefield of tricks, traps and tactics gets played from club level all the way up to Magnus himself. But why? I mean, how many players enjoy the white side of an Albin Countergambit? Or the blac...Read more »
