I'm married to Lynne and we have two children (Andy 27 and Jo 24) and one grandchild (Aaliyah 2). I am now retired following redundancy and live near Telford, in Shropshire. We've travelled around with work from Derby to Crewe and finally ended up in Shropshire. We both love the area we live in which combines lovely countryside with plenty of walking and cycling opportunities together with access to big towns like Telford and Shrewsbury. I enjoy reading, playing tennis, badminton and walking with our two dogs (Jed 9 and Scamp 1). I have played chess for over 40 years on and off but am making a concerted effort to improve my standard and consistency of play.
I was made redundant so have taken the opportunity to take early retirement and see if there's some other line of work I can get into. I fancy doing some writing so will give that a go to see if I'm any good. I think this is an opportunity too good to miss.
