Hello there ladies and gents!!! Welcome to my profile.
I am sure you want to know some thing about me. Well first of all I lived in the UK but it doesn't mean I am a British. Actually I am a pure Filipino.
Me, my little sister and my parents migrated here. One of my hobbies is playing chess that is one of the reasons why I joined CHESS.COM. I found chess a very interesting game. The thing that influenced me to play chess was the film Harry Potter and the Philospher's stone or Harry Potter and the Sorcerrer's stone. I was amazed by the massive chessboard there played by Harry and Ron. As of now I actually have the same chessboard that was on the film. My male cousins and my uncles influenced me as well. When I was about 11 I saw them play and I said to myself I must learn how to play chess. I don't want to be the only boy in the family who doesn't know how to play chess. When I finished my primary school I stopped playing chess due to lack of knowledge on the basics of chess. But when I start to live here in the UK I start to play chess again. This place give more opportunities in the world of chess. In my local area I am a member of a chess club. The name of the club is 'Woking Chess Club'. I learnt a lot in that club especially when it comes to the basics like the setting board properly (ALWAYS WHITE TO THE RIGHT), en passant, some chess openings and how to use and set a chess clock. Those things actually help me to improved my skills in Chess. Thanks a lot to Frank (Junior Section trainer/supervisor). My favourite chess opening is the Guioco Piano which also known as the "Italian Game".(1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Bc5). I also like the Barzca opening (1. Nf3 d5 2. g3 Nf6 3. Bg2 Bf5 or Bg4 4. 0-0) CHESS what is it to me??? -It is a game where you can be a General. -A game which can torture my mind and your opponent's mind. -A thinking game. -It is a legend. - A very very very OLD game as it started from the kings and still exists in our year..
