I started playing chess 'seriously' in November '07 when i bought chessmaster 11 for a friend's xbox after another friend (kahnmar on this site) worked me over repeatedly OTB.
I've read Silman's Amateurs Mind, Attacking Chess by Waitzkin, Winning Chess Tactics from the Seirawan series and First Chess Openings by Eric Schiller.
I am currently reading Winning Chess Strategy from the Seirawan series. I am thinking about reading Silman's Reassess Your Chess next, but I'm also thinking about just drilling tactics...tough decision.
