Brooklyn Born and Reared; I am the father of eight; I am a history teacher currently working on my second Masters degree. I lLOVE to read; collector of comics and action figures; I LOVE my wife(non chess player); secret career is to teach on the collegiate level; active in various civic groups including: Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., NAACP, and National Education Association.
My Chess Style / Favorite Openings:
I was introduced to the game at an early age through my mother and uncle; I don't get the time to play as much in tournaments; I coach at the school where I teach-our team is ranked 6th in the state of Virginia. I am more of a defensive player. I am inspired by my brother, my uncle, my students, and my children-all who remind me why the game is still fun. Ruy Lopez is pretty cool. Had a chance to take a picture with Maurice Ashley. Represents the game very well.
