I have played chess for many years since child. I laugh at computer to play what should be a game of opponents of flesh and blood. Yet I live in a part of the my country where finding worthy opponents is impossible. Moscow was my home once but I cannot live there now.
This game of kings is meant to be played slowly. To be savoured over musik and vodka. It is a game meant to stare a lesser man down over a woodan board where you outhink him. I miss this in this life we now had. When I worked for my mother Russia this is what I did. You outwited your opponent because you were better than he. The pieces were never so black and white. And red usually one.
Those days are gone and here we are still. But I can still enjoy picking on my western opponents, no? Its only for fun now.
