About Me:
I live in the little town of Hamburg, MI, and have lived within an hour of here since I was a kid. I enjoy studying chess, collecting stamps and coins, and playing classical and Ragtime Piano. I am currently reteaching myself the Maple Leaf Rag. I also am a big Detroit Tigers fan, and have plans of flying down to Florida to see Training Camp. I am also an experienced genealogist and I study midevial history. I knew how to play chess when I was 4, but after all of these years, just started studying and learning about 8 months ago. My favorite Openings as White are the Evans Gambit, Vienna Game, Ruy Lopez, and Queen's Gambit. As Black I play the Scandinavian Defense and Dutch Defense. I also run online groups on the Evans, Scandinavian, Vienna, and Ruy, as well as a general openings group.
