Your opponents probably won't have a good defense the *first* time you play them. If you want a system opening that's a bit more solid there's the Colle. It goes d4, Nf3, e3, Bd3, c3. The Nf3 first prevents an early ...e5. The funny thing is, often the Colle transposes into the Stonewall. :)by likesforests 8 months ago
