I learned the game of chess when I was about six years old, but have never joined a chess-club or participated in any (live-flesh) chess tournaments. I used to play a lot with my grandfather, and only won one game against him (out of hundreds...) before he passed away, the spring of 1995. Now I enjoy playing with friends and strangers both inside and outside the world wide web.
