I'm Originally Syrian living in Canada!!
I Played Chess when I was a kid with my beloved aunt who taught me the basics of this amazing game, then I kept practising with stronger adult players till I was able to beat them, then Got the 3rd position in the national syrian championship under 12, but my best acheivment for me is that I had draw with the Syrian chess Champion who was a colleague and friend of mine in the medical school in Aleppo, His name is Obaida Kabbani "he was doing his residency in pediatric medicine and has passed away in painful car accident two years ago"..... R.I.P Obaida.
I'm back to chess my friend after 10 years.
