I am studying philosophy and mathematics at Purdue University. I enjoy reading and chess (obviously :-) .
I have been playing informally since I was about six. I first got interested when I found Bobby Fischer's book Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess at a garage sale. Of course, I really had no idea what it was about, and I had to have my grandma read it to me, but it had lots of pictures.
Being a student of logic, I enjoy the logical and analytic side of the game more than the winning and losing. I like to play good, strong, classic openings (King's Pawn).
