About Me:
born and raised in the RGV. Left in 1972 to join the USAF came back to live in 1992 after retiring from the service. Joined the USPS in 1993 and am still there working out of the Harlingen Post office.
Started playing chess in 1970 when a classmate brought us and introduced us to our first game. He also introduced most of us to the fools mate. We started the local high school chess club. I served as it president in my senior year. I played in local tournaments until i joined the service where i continued to play whenever i could and at most chess club. I always believed that Bobby Fischer was the greatest player of all time, even though i studies all the other masters. Perhaps my greatest memory was when i played an expert in florida and was the only player to win against him only one other player drew with him. I stoped playing for a while, until recently when my grandkids started playing and i started to teach them.
