My site name is Sicilian Dragon, a typo on my part. I am currently married to my wife Rebecca for over 20 years; we have an empty nest, two girls and one boy scattered throughout the eastern part of the U.S. I am a disabled veteran from the U.S. Army since 1989. I have been in the teaching profession for 20 years, 14 in elementary education and 8 years in college. I play 1. d4 exclusively as White and the Slav when the opportunity avails itself. Against 1. e4 I play the Sicilian Defense as Black, though I am currently returning to the French for variety. My favorite chess players are Tigran Petrosian (RIP) and Lajos Portisch.
