Hi!

My name is Tim Lawson and I live in England. I play for Daventry chess club in the Leamington League and also for Northampton Chessmates in the Northamptonshire League. I am now also representing Banbury Bulldogs in Division 3 of the Four Nations Chess League. This could be considered a spurious honour but it's great fun with a great bunch of teammates!

I am an accredited coach with the English Chess Federation (ECF). I coach regularly at Northampton Junior Chess Club.

In addition to this, I provide private chess lessons and these are available to people of all ages.

I also have a personal goal to improve my own over the board play (update since first blogging this bit, my ECF grade has gone from 142 to 155 but we're basically waiting for it to avalanche in 6 months time!) and to help with this I spend time using the excellent training facilities on this site.
