I started playing chess in school 8th grade (1983)toward the end of the summer just before school got out. By the time summer came I was able to win against the math teacher. Went off to college and hadn't played until the summer of 1998 where I did get a chance to play in a couple of tournaments.  Started a family and another decade has pasted and I am now trying to get back into playing chess. I have been reading a lot of chess books. I have a small library of 400 + chess books and enjoy playing chess on the internet. I do try and play in one or two chess tournaments a year in my area. I work nights so I don't really have time for the local chess club. There are also chess tables to play at a nearby mall on Sundays so they are sometimes fun as well.. Chess.com is my primary source of chess games and information. Its fun and very informative and continues to help improve my chess playing abilities. Thanks.
