This game was sort of like my first swindle - I was down the exchange and a number of pawns. However, this game was not played on chess.com. Instead, it was played in a tournament with a 40 minute time control. Furthermore I was able to draw be...Read more »

Hello, and thank you for giving me a profile view! Let me tell you a little about myself:
My name is Thomas, and I'm 12 years old. I have an older sister who doesn't play chess and no other siblings, so I'm on chess.com a lot. I started playing chess about five years ago, but I only started playing seriously about two years ago.
Okay, I know what you're thinking: I'm in so many groups, right. Well, the truth is I people invited me to every group I'm in or I created it.
I play the English Opening as White almost every game; in fact, I play it so much that I created my own club for English Opening players called the c4 club: http://www.chess.com/groups/home/the-c4-club We are currently in the top 50 groups for vote chess. If you are interested in learning a new opening or play the English, you are welcome to join. I play the Slav against 1. d4 and the Caro-Kann and Four Knights Sicilian against 1. e4. I haven't decided which one I like better.
Currently, I am looking to play a gambit as White, but I haven't decided which one I want to play. If you are willing to suggest a gambit, please post it here: http://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess-openings/which-gambit-gives-you-the-most-innitiative
If you have a chess game you are interested in sharing, please post it here: http://www.chess.com/forum/view/game-showcase/put-your-best-chess-games-in-this-forum.
I go to lessons with my chess coach, NM Bruce Baker. His profile is here: http://www.chess.com/members/view/blindfish4 He is a great coach, and has helped me play chess a lot better.
I also have created a photo album on chess.com called Optical Illusions: http://www.chess.com/photos/view_album/tjdiem/optical-illusions5 It is currently the ninth most viewed photo album in all of chess.com!
On May 9th, 2013, I got interested in the Rubik's cube. After i learned how to solve the 3x3 cube, I got obsessed and learned the 2x2, 4x4, and 5x5 cube. My record on the 2x2 is 10 seconds, 3x3 is 30 seconds, and 4x4 is 3 minutes and 32 seconds... all rounded to the nearest second.
Here are some of my best games:
