About Me:
I picked up chess @18 and got hooked. I am going on 38 now so 20 years of this addiction has only got me wanting more. I wish I had more time to master it but with a family and full time work the odds seem stacked against me but I will keep trying :) I also like to program and do the usual geeky sci fi stuff. My USCF rating is way out of date since I never get to play Over the board anymore. I play all types of turn-based Chess and website server chess. My average rating on all those sites is between 1700 to 1800. I miss the live human chess but where I live makes it kinda hard to find a game. Thank God for sites like chess.com!!!
I enjoy gambit openings and the aggresive attacking style of play. Tactics really make the game fun. Closed positions are part of the game but really drive me nuts and leave me bored. Gary Kasparov and Susan Polgar are my 2 favorite players.
