About Me:
I learned chess from my dad when I was around 9.  He stopped playing me when I was 15 because I had started playing with some friends at school and began to beat him all the time.  I played a couple of tournaments in high school, don't even remember how I did.  I was totally overwhelmed by the experience.  Used to play a lot of correspondence chess through USCF, but wasn't playing at all for the last 15 years or so.  I really enjoy the friends that I have made here on chess.com and the new/renewed hobby.

Sacrifice -- The Founding Fathers of the United States of America

Submitted by tyberius on Jul 4, 2009 7:58am.

When I consider what today people call "dedication to a cause" I am amazed at how little most people are really willing to give up to stand for what they "believe in".  Our founding fathers, the men and women that helped form the foundations of ...Read more »
