Really enjoy Bluegrass music and I play upright bass in a local band. Also play guitar, banjo and mandolin. Enjoy most other types of music as well. Played chess a little as a kid during Fischer/Spassky days. Then later during the Karpov/Kasparov matches.
Only played with friends, never joined a club. Recently got back into it when I saw chess games online. That soon led me here. This is a great site. I'm not very good right now but hoping to improve. Favorite player would be Fischer. No favorite openings yet. Still trying to learn the "why" behind the moves.
