Premium Members will have access to some special exhibition games (such as Chess.com vs. Grandmaster!) that Basic members may not be able to play in.

Game Explorer

Search through millions of chess games to see what openings others are playing with full win/draw/loss statistics! Or, look through a database of standard openings and discuss the opening with other Chess.com members. You can also enter a chess position and search to find if that position has ever been reached before!

Games Archive

Chess.com stores all of your games (Turn-based and Live) so you can download or access them at any time.

Silver/Gold Members can access all games dating back one year. Platinum/Diamond Members have access to ALL games ever played on Chess.com. Basic members have access to all games played within the last 30 days. Keep in my mind, we never delete games, so once you subscribe, you will have access to all your old games once again!

Performance Stats

Check out rating and statistics for Turn-based and Live Chess! Premium Members can view graphs on rating, wins/losses, ranking, best wins, worst loss, and other stats including performance against other individual players. Basic members get rating, win/loss/draw, and time per move.

Groups & Teams

Become a part of a smaller group within Chess.com! Example groups/teams are those from certain countries or special interests, or just a group of friends! Groups get their own private forum, news, events, photos, and more. Group admins can customize just about every aspect of the group including who can join!

No Ads!!

Premium Members will not see any external ads on Chess.com (other than the main homepage) and will see very few internal ads (announcing new products and services).

Basic members will see all ads, but we don't ever do popups, popunders, or sacrifice the beauty of our site for ads ;)

Faster Page Loading Time

Premium Members get better site performance and faster page loading times. This comes from not having to load the code associated with showing ads.

Auto-Timeout Protection

Premium Members get auto-timeout protection! If you are about to lose a Turn-based game because of timeout you will automatically get put "on vacation". This can save you from silly loses and lost rating points due to timeouts!

Interactive Maps

Premium Members get access to interactive Google maps that show global locations for Chess.com members, guests, your opponents, titled players, events, clubs, and more!

Basic members can only see their own location and guests.
