Announcing the 2009 Olympic Chess Games!
For the first time in the history of Chess.com, two great groups, Chess Association and We Chat Global, have agreed to compete with each other in Intercontinental Vote Chess games, Team Matches, and Tournaments.
Chess Association vs We Chat Global
Our groups will compete against each other by continent:
Chess Association - Africa vs We Chat Africa
Chess Association - Antarctica vs We Chat Antarctica - Earth
Chess Association - Arabia vs We Chat Central America
Chess Association - Asia vs We Chat Asia
Chess Association - Europe vs We Chat Europe
Chess Association - North America vs We Chat North America
Chess Association - Oceania vs We Chat Australia - Oceania
Chess Association - South America vs We Chat South America
Vote Chess games will start off the Olympics, and after all the games are completed, then we will move on to Team Matches, and then the grand finale will be a Tournament featuring five players from each of our respective eight continental groups.

Win 3 points
Draw 1 point
Loss 0 points
Team Matches:
Win 3 points
Draw 1 point
Loss 0 points
Tournaments:
Point totals will be based on individual performance.
Gold, Silver, Bronze medals will be awarded to the top three continents!
