Hello Ohio,

Do you think Ohio is the best State in the nation? Of course, you do otherwise you wouldn’t be living there. The trouble is 49 other States think exactly like you do. To settle this debate, we have founded the US Chess League. Season 1 started with 10 States (evil tongues opined that the other 40 were too afraid to participate). In Season 2 we would like to invite Ohio  to dispel those rumors and jump into the action. Here is the basic format:
 
Each season will start on July 4th and will last one year.  The season will be a Swiss tourney (6 rounds approx.) followed by a 1 match playoff. Teams will be grouped by size of active membership initially and after each season the stronger teams will be promoted to the next division up while the teams finishing last will be relegated to the next division down.  The number of teams per division will be determined by the number of teams participating.

So do you and your team have what it takes to rise to the top of the US Chess League and be part of Season 2?

What is required of you as an admin to take part in the League? Timely issuing and accepting challenges per the schedule and fielding the minimum number of players per the rules of your division.
