  Little known American chess player Arnold Denker was among the best chess players in the world from as far back as the 1940s, these week for many of us chess fans is an ideal time to bring back some of his memories

I have an interesting book at home which is as much biographical as chess based.  It deals with the top American club players around the time of the depression.  Denker is mentioned quite a lot.  Very interesting read by the way.  I think the title is something like 'Memories of Bobby Fischer and Other Stories'
