For all those who haven't noticed Everton got a 3-1 win at Goodison Park over West Ham United and has moved up into 5th Place.  Louis Saha scored twice in the match.

Just thought I'd ramble about the Cup last season, as I'm afraid it may not be for a few seasons till we reach those heights gain........the cup IS a bit of a lottery after all.

I was lucky to get a ticket to the Semi as a qualifying non season ticket holder (live in South West England these days), and knew that would be my final, as we all know what the FA did to the loyal fans.....

The atomosphere at the semi was amazing; like being a kid again, truely made me proud to be a blue. I went on my own, as I often seem to go to the game these days, and was hugging fellow blues at the final whistle liek a ten year old. There were tears in all our eyes at the end, for the entire day we'd out souted, out sung, out joked, out flash mobbed pubs, won the keepy-up(as high as you can) in LIDL car park and outnumbered the reds in London town ten to one.....its days like this......thats why we're blue!

At the very beginning of the season the English bookies did peg Everton to finish in 5th place.  Everton took a 2-0 lead on Aston Villa, but finished in a 3-3 draw.  Had Everton won that game they would have then been in 5th place then.

So the FA Cup Final is icing on the cake win or lose.  We were not expected to be there.  Everton will be playing the cup match final without Phil Jagielka and without Jo.  The chips are down.  We will see what the rest of the team can do.  Everton did score three goals on West Ham Utd. but Everton has always been a bad matchup for West Ham to deal with.  So we'll see about the scoring.  Should be good weather.

Its a shame that we had a slow start to the season.
