LOL, Moe.  But regardless of how much Captain I had, avsig played a great game.  Got to give him props for that.

Yeah, I was in check, though I think 16...Kg7 was probably a poor move.  I did lose in the end.  I wonder if 16...kf8 would have been better?

whats the rational for:

16.  ...Kh7

I would have played, I think

16. ...Bh7

Oh, wait, that was check.

I wish I had thought of that then, Moe!  That would have been a good idea.  But, I wouldn't have had to do that if on move 4 I had moved my pawn to d6 instead of doing Bg7.  Avsig wouldn't have taken the pawn on e5 and I would have had a fighting chance.  First day of the group and I'm already improving my game!  I'm going to like this group!!!!

What about on # 5 instead of 0-0,  take his pawn with knight , that then aimed your bishop at both his knights. Would have gotten one if not both , maybe ? He is strong with the knight , once he had it on your side he threw off your whole flow, by sacraficing your knight , the outcome may have been different ? I dont know, I am an amature , but trying to understand and solve these mysteries.

I think my queen may have had too much Capt'n Morgan in her.  She should have been more active.  But where and how?  Avsig kept me under pressure the entire game.  I felt smothered right from the beginning.  He seemed to know every move I was going to make, and make a move that blocked it.  It was one of the best games anyone has played against me so far.  Avsig keeps playing like he did here, he'll be our first 2000+ player.  Congrats on such a well played game, Avsig.

Your queen was never really activated, was she sleeping ? Should have gotten her out. For me, nothing worse than to lose a game when you still have power pieces !
