  1. I was at Facebook and ran into a tasty website (about Barbacoa) that brought back some memories. But instead of writing about it thought I just place the links here, with music and a how to make it! Will make you miss home. After a Friday & Saturday long chess tournament eating brabacoa for breakfast and eggs, a breakfast for champions! Yahoo! Of course others may perfer something else!

2. How to make Barbacoa

This first has the whole song, in TV station setting! Easier to hear the words!

Man, how I miss my tacos de barbacoa!!   When I told my uncle a few years ago how much I miss barbacoa, he told me I could make it myself, and told me how, but I forgot.  Now, I have to check out this link!

Besides that, I also miss Bill Miller barbeque brisket; another of my Texas loves!

Thankfully, there are some little Mexican food tiendas in Akron, so I can get chorizo to make my tacos de chorizo con huevo!

Even so, I still miss San Antonio.  I miss going to Mi Tierra and seeing the mariachis there, as well as a bunch of other stuff!

Soy no way, not in my Barbacoa! Other things OK! Yes we miss old San Antonio ways! But some day will visit again and go down Nogalitos St! Also visit the San Antonio Chess Club at Lion's Field too!

Barbacoa Blues -- That's great, Frank!  I love it.  However, it makes me think that somebody who retired far, far away kinda misses the Chicano homeland.  Yeah, speaking from northern Idaho, I miss it, too.  But, I gotta say, my doc has got me too busy trying to stave off the anti-cholestoral meds and other crap that I can't be eating barbacoa anymore!  Not even chorizo.  It's Soyrizo for me now!  Check it out!  It's pretty good.  Somewhere out there, I'll bet you can find Barbasoya.  Ha!
