Branching Out

In the short time I have been playing this amazing game, nothing has become more clear than the idea that chess truely is a game of variety.  Everyone who plays this game brings something different to it, and in turn, enhances the game's play.  There is a correlation to be drawn here and I ask that you move on that idea, which I will tell you about shortly.  First, I feel it is important that in anything you do, to become a better component of what it may be (in this case chess) you must be willing to accept the variety of life within it... not condeming yourself to a closed view of the world around you.

Now to my point...  I propose that each one of us in this group, in order to expand our chess horizons, find and befriend a player from another country/culture and learn from them.  Play many games with them, get to know them, find out how the game fits in to their world and report back your experiences here.  No matter how much we know, there is always more to be learned. I will make an assertive effort to be proactive on this project in hopes you too will do the same.

**Above all else, please be respectful in your dealings with other players.  As part of this group, our actions towards others reflects upon the rest of the members in this group, so give credit when its due, and use descretion when it is not.**
