Isa 53:1  Who has believed our report? And to whom is the arm of LORD revealed?

Isa 53:2For He comes up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground; He has no form nor majesty that we should see Him, nor an appearance that we should desire Him.

Isa 53:3  He is despised and rejected of men; a Man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as it were a hiding of faces from Him, He being despised, and we esteemed Him not.

Isa 53:4  Surely He has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

Isa 53:5  But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on Him; and with His stripes we ourselves are healed.

He is our King who died that we might live a life worthy of being called the sons of God.

"A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of." John10:10(msg.bible)

lady_H is right on with Romans 5.  Look at the verses 6-8.  COunt the number of times we sinners are identified by other words.  Should be a humble and revealing experience.  Also, 1 Peter 1:19-21 speaks of the cost of Calvary and our redemption -- nothing of man can be enough to purchase the most precious gift Jesus gave in order for us to be with the Father on day.  Moreover, He is the only way (Acts 4:12; Heb 1:1-3) and only His perfect righteousness can make us justified to be called the children of God (2 Cor 5:21; 1 Cor 1:30; Heb 10:10-12)  Amen and Peace.

Christ died to take for Himself a peculiar people zealous unto all good works; now, we are looking forward for His coming! What a day that will be! Glory to God! (Titus 2:13,14).
