Chess trivia question - winner gets a trophy!

Greetings fellow Unorthodox Openings-ians!

In the position given in the image, white is to play.

The position given is from a famous game played in 1998. Your goal is to tell me who played white and who played black, along with the double-exclam (!!) move that white played (this is his 23rd move).

Winner gets a trophy! If you don't know, feel free to guess - if someone guesses one of the players correctly, I'll tell you the other player.

    White - Boris Gelfand

    Black - Alexey Shirov

They played at the Memorial, Rubinstein 1998.  The book line was D85, Gruenfeld Defense: Exchange (Modern Exchange Variation).  Gelfand won (1-0)

    White (Gelfand) played Rd7!!

Not a move I would have even considered (Well maybe, since I cannot see any other decent moves Be6 possibly?). Good game to watch though.
