County Championships update!

Submitted by brfc on Mon, 08/03/2009 at 5:07am.

Open:

Northamptonshire have pulled out so the match that we play in that is against Kent. We're 7.5 to 3.5 in that match so far and look likely winners which is great!!!

However, we're playing Cambridgeshire in the Open as well, I'll need Pete to clarify this. We're 2-1 up, so keep it up!!!

U1800:

In this section we will play/or are playing Suffolk, Essex, Herefordshire and Dorset.

the game against Suffolk, we're already 6-0 up due to defaults, so we've won this match, but lets make it a 9-1 or 10-0 win Laughing.

The game against Dorset is very close, with 4 games to go, it's all square at 4-4, so both teams need 2 1/2 to win that match!

A game against Staffordshire (which is not on the spreadsheet?) we're 2-0 down after a hard match. Can Pete please clarify if we're meant to be playing themLaughing

U1500:

In this section we will be playing/or are playing Essex, Kent Suffolk and Woucestershire.

The game against Essex is very tense, as we need to win the rest of our matches to get a draw! You can do it guys!!!

The game against Kent is 4-0 up to the good, nice work and keep it up!!!

Keep up the good work all, you're all doing Gloucestershire very proud! If Pete can clarify those 2 matches, that would be smashing!

Good Luck in the rest of the matches!

The first Open game is nearly decided.  Team G is up 6 points, with only 7 left to play for!

Anyway, I'm probably about 30 minutes away from winning my first Championship game.

In these championships does it matter how well we win our match?  As an example, is a 11-0 win more valuable to us than a 6-5 result?

They obviously pulled out because I chose Gloucestershire over them.  Shame my house is getting egged now.

Hi All .  The game against Staffs is on the listings.

We have the return with black starting 29th August

In the  Open Group 1  There is now only Gloucestershire, Kent and Cambridgeshire. After Northamptonshire pulled out. A starnge deision by them as they are quite a strong team.
