FIDE Changes Candidate Tournament Dates

FIDE logo temp.jpgAfter howls of protest at FIDE's proposed timetable for the Candidates Tournament - in between the Bilbao Masters and London Chess Classic in October/November this year - FIDE have relented and revised the dates to March 2013.

That ironically uncommon quality of common sense seems to have prevailed at last, as the Candidates Tournament will now take place in a relatively quiet part of the tournament calendar instead of effectively destroying two successful commercial events.

Wow...not a lot of time between the scheduled Championship Matches!

After the Anand-Gelfand match, the next is 1.5 years later, and the one after that just a year later! Then about 2 years between the 2014 and 2016 matches! I don't understand...
