Florida and Louisiana put on Yellow Status

Florida and Lousiana have been put on yellow status for failure to accept the match challenge. The matches should have been underway as of today yet Florida - Arizona and Mississippi - Lousiana are not even registered. If the matches won't happen by Wednesday Lousiana and Florida will be put on Orange status and forfeit those matches. If the matches are accepted, matches are to be locked by Sunday night.

This season has been plagued by similar issues with the exception of Division 1. This is neither fun for the admins who constantly have to chase after tardy teams nor for the opponents. We try to give as much leeway as possible as we don't like matches to be decided by us but rather have the teams duke it out. If some of the teams that have frequently been behind in accepting/locking matches can't make changes in their admin structure next year then they will have to sit out. The most frustrating part is that some of the teams with issues have plenty of players willing to play matches. One ought to think there would be some  interest to step up and offer a hand. It takes next to no time to do the basic stuff like challenging, accepting, or locking matches. Everything above and beyond is a bonus. So if you happen to be a member of a team where the amdin structure isn't in good shape consider volunteering to be an admin. If all the superadmins are dormant or absent please message me. Chess.com is usually more than happy to put someone in this spot to revive a struggling team. The only requirement is to be a paying member.
