From now on, you can post a game in the forums and the rest of us will help analyze. Since the goal of this group is to have fun and improve, I thought it was a great idea.

I'll post the first game:

Let me know your thoughts and analysis. And if you want your own games analyzed, just post them in the forums!

Thanks,

On move 8 or 9 he dropped a piece in the Evans Gambit as black.

I didn't see the whole game, but I assume he got mated pretty soon.

Also, Newtown Highschool had a match with Danbury. Kai was board 1 and Tristan was board 3 or 4. Kai actually lost to someone who plays a weird opening that looks like this.(Although not as weird as the eight pawns defense you played against me in our quick chess game lol!)

Kai used up a lot of time on his clock trying to win his opponent's queen and ended up in time pressure later on.

HAHAHAHA!!! How long did he last? 10 moves? Maybe 15?

Matt Pruner recently played a 2300. You can just imagine how he got destroyed!

The position is supposedly drawn after Ka1. But that doesn't mean it will turn out to be a draw NO MATTER WHAT. Not if white resigns.

Yes, pawn on bishop file is a FORCED UNAVOIDABLE draw.

Sorry! Actually it was the bishop pawn about to queen, which sometimes is an exception. Maybe the position wasn't a forced win for white...

Haha. Yes, it is a well known fact that chess is 89% psychology. Just kidding, don't quote me on that.

    Kai was in it too.

He played a 2300, 2100, and 1900. You should have seen his game against an unr. guy that beat a 2100. This was the position:

And in case you're wondering "when my rating got so high", it's because I beat a 1500, 1600, 1689, and 1758 at two tournaments.

    Yes, jrcolo

    nial98, I got 5/6 points, but I was only playing under 1000.

    Here's the game I lost.

Nice game! I got 3 points out of 6 in that tournament, which is OK, I guess. I heard you went in a three-way tie for first, is that true? How many points did you get?

    @pikipokos,

Yes, but I don't think he has to play Rb8 before playing b5-b4.

    pikipokos

10... Rb8 is playable .his king is safe and now he is trying to attack your king or knight with b5 and b4.So he has a plan.
