GM Shulman Wins 2008 Foxwoods Open

The 2008 Foxwoods Open was held from March 19-22, 2008. Five players ended up tying for first place with a score of 7/9. GM Yuri Shulman ended up winning the title after an armageddon blitz playoff with GM Alexander Ivanov.

A couple of players ended up earning some norms. IM Robert Hess achieved a GM norm with a score of 7/9. FM Tegshsuren Enkhbat earned a IM norm with a score of 6/9 and Christopher Williams earned an IM norm after a stunning first round victory over GM Alexander Ivanov and ending up with a score of 5.5/9

1-5) GM Shulman, GM Ivanov, IM Hess, GM Shabalov, GM Becerra (7/9)

6-8) GM Sadvaskov, IM Bonin, GM Perelshteyn (6.5/9)
