The XVII Pampona International took place 21st-29th December 2007 in Pamplona, Spain. GM Francisco Vallejo Pons won the event with a score of 4.5/7 and a performance rating of 2752!

What about 13... Bf6?  It seems that would help put the pressure on d4 and possibly disencourage whites 15th move.

I've only seen Vallejo-Pons at one of those big tournaments (Linares?) where he loses nearly all games. But apparently he isn't up there for no reason Smile

 

One question: IM Rodshtein? He's 2614 and certainly a GM as well.
