Greetings fellow Team Tennessee members. 

First of all, welcome to our newest members.  Team Tennessee is pleased to have you on board and looks forward to your participation in group activities. We are now 61 members strong.

Second, how much interest is there in some Group vs. Group Vote Chess?   In the next few days we might setup a couple Vote Chess matches, so stay tuned to the Team Tennessee Group page and if you see we have a match upcoming or in progress, feel free to jump right in at anytime. 

Likewise, how many of you are interested in participating in one or more Team vs. Team matches?  There are three or four matches still underway but winding down, so if enough of us are interested in a new match or two, some of our newer members will have the opportunity to play for Team Tennessee.  Reply or comment below with a yes or no and if enough of us respond, we will challenge some other states or groups.

Finally, about this time last year we held our first Team Tennessee intrastate tournament.  Congratulations to meniscus, KlaleidoscopeEyes and ceshack who recently took home first, second and third place victories respectively.  For a peek at the results,  click here: http://www.chess.com/tournament/ttt-2009-01---team-tennessee-tournamen

Again, if there is enough interest among our membership, we will organize another intragroup event.  We can decide on the details of the tournament (group size, time control/move, number to advance, etc) once we determine if we have enough participants to move forward.
